Terms of Use

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Plainwall ("the Service") is operated by Plainwall. The Service is currently free of charge; there are no paid features or purchases.

What the Service does

The Service helps you crop and resize a photo to published size requirements, shows guides and automatic checks for some measurable rules, and creates files for download or printing. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any government agency. Photo requirements change, some authorities do not accept self-made or digitally altered photos, and the final decision on any photo is always made by the issuing authority. We do not guarantee that any photo will be accepted. Check the official rules for your application before you apply.

Your responsibilities

Only use photos of yourself or of people who have authorised you (or for whom you are the parent or guardian). Do not use the Service to create false, misleading or fraudulent identity documents or to misrepresent anyone's appearance.

No warranty and liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including fees, delays or rejected applications. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version.
